People seem to forget that nutritious and delicious could come hand-in-hand.
At the beginning of this process multiple thoughts were running through my head as to what I could spend 18 weeks researching. Although I haven't attended any culinary classes at this school, I maintain to cook with my family every day, experimenting and throwing in spices with no record of what exactly we did. Seeing how much fun I have spending time in the kitchen and thinking of new things to throw into a dish, I decided that a project on cooking sounded especially fun and interesting. Cooking provides for multiple avenues of research, between making multi-cultural dishes, to researching cookbook history and development, I decided that I could integrate more than that in creating my very own cookbook, and make it a practical product for others to use. The direction I've chosen to take my project in is creating in economical cookbook for inner-city student and families, which are on a tight budget and time constraints, to have a cookbook which provides recipes that include fast, filling and healthy dishes for people to enjoy, and making them the most economically sound option for multiple people, say a family of four. I will have to both research the ideal budget for meals, what people prefer eating (as oppose to what they should be eating), how much time people give themselves to prepare food and comfortably eat, and most importantly, what combinations taste good and provide enough variation!
